Why Do Men Deny The Creator?

"You alone are the Lord, you have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and everything on it, the seas and all that is in them, and you preserve them all." Nehemiah 9:6 God is the creator of all that is. Mankind does not want to believe that though. Have you ever wondered why? Why do people so insist on "the theory of evolution," which of course is only a "theory?" It certainly isn't treated as a "theory," in fact, many a professor has lost his job for suggesting that the world came into being by a Creator. So what's the big deal? Why are teachers REQUIRED to teach children "the theory of evolution?" Why are they forbidden to teach that God created all that is? Evolution is a theory, creation is a fact. Otherwise, the Bible is wrong. The answer is that when one acknowledges that there is a Creator, it follows that we are the creation, and that means we are accountable to the Creator. Mankind does not want to subject himself to a Creator, he insists on being his own law-maker. He insists on relying on his own "wisdom." He decides that he alone will decide for himself his definition of morality. And that's it in a nutshell - men will not acknowledge the Creator because the consequence of believing in a Creator is unacceptable to them. Deny him though they do, yet the fact remains that the Creator has created all that is whether anyone wants to believe it or not. Those who don't believe it have valued their own “wisdom” above the wisdom of almighty God. The very first sentence in the Bible: "In the beginning God CREATED the heavens and the earth." Genesis 1:1 God's very first words in the Bible tell man that God is the CREATOR. That's the first thing he has revealed to mankind. It's the first thing man needs to know. The Scriptures go on to tell us that not only is God the Creator, but specifically Jesus Christ is the one who created all that is. “FOR BY HIM ALL THINGS WERE CREATED that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. ALL THINGS WERE CREATED THROUGH HIM AND FOR HIM. And he is before all things, AND IN HIM ALL THINGS CONSIST." Colossians 1:16-17 We who have received Jesus Christ bow to him willingly. The day will come though, when those who denied him will bow before him forcibly. "As I live, says the Lord, EVERY knee shall bow to me, and EVERY tongue shall confess to God. So then each of us shall give account of himself to God." Romans 14:11-12 I chuckle as I think of Biden, Obama, Hillary, and Bill Gates bowing their knee before Jesus Christ and confessing that he is LORD. Can you imagine George Soros bowing his knees before Jesus? As unimaginable as that may seem, every one of them surely will: "Therefore God also has highly exalted him and given him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus EVERY knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that EVERY tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
